(Yes, I did use AI for this image. I've never been great at making food look good in a picture)

Lately, I’ve been seeing bang bang shrimp pop up on my Pinterest, and every time I do, I can’t help but think, ‘That looks SO good!’ If you're craving that crispy, spicy goodness but want to skip the deep frying, you’re in luck. With just a few simple steps and your air fryer, you can have this dish ready in under 7 minutes. Or, if you're using your oven, it’ll take just a pinch longer—still worth the wait! Let’s get cooking!

Ingredients:

  • Frozen popcorn shrimp

  • 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce

  • 1/4 cup mayo

  • 1/4 cup sriracha

  • Dash of heavy cream

  • 1 teaspoon lime juice (optional, for brightness)

  • Optional: Red chili flakes and chives for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Cook the Shrimp

    • Place the frozen popcorn shrimp into your air fryer or oven. Cook them according to the package instructions until crispy.

  2. Make the Sauce

    • In a bowl, mix together:

      • 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce

      • 1/4 cup mayo

      • 1/4 cup sriracha

    • Adjust the ratios to your taste. For a creamier texture, add a dash of heavy cream. For extra brightness, stir in 1 teaspoon of lime juice.

  3. Combine

    • Once the shrimp is cooked and crispy, toss them in the sauce until fully coated.

  4. Garnish and Serve

    • Transfer the shrimp to a serving plate. Top with red chili flakes and freshly chopped chives for a beautiful and tasty presentation.

Enjoy!

This quick and easy version is perfect for satisfying your cravings without the mess or time commitment of traditional deep frying. Give it a try and let me know what you think!
